About Karen

Karen Bishop Saltzman is the Principal Broker of National Real Estate and a top producing REALTOR® serving Lexington, Kentucky and the surrounding areas. She currently serves on the Bluegrass REALTORS® Government Affairs committee and MLS Data Improvement Advisory Group and serves as the immediate past president of the Liberty Elementary School PTA, as a board member for the Liberty Elementary Family Resource Center, and as a parent volunteer with Eastern Little League. She attends Southland Christian Church, is a member of the Lexington Chapter of the Daughters o the American Revolution, and has been a Kentucky Colonel since 2008. She is a former board member of the Explorium of Lexington. She lives in Lexington with her husband and their three children.

From 2020-2023, Mrs. Saltzman was the Managing Broker of Lifstyl National Real Estate. From 2018-2020, she was a REALTOR® with Keller Williams Greater Lexington. From 2012-2014, Mrs. Saltzman directed the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) Energy & Natural Resources Division, which included the state's mineral leasing program, programs related to energy management, technical and financial assistance for business and governmental entities, and energy-related economic and workforce development. From 2009-2012, she directed MDA's federal grant programs funded by the U.S. Department of Energy through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. From 2009-2014, Mrs. Saltzman was an appointed member of the Architectural Review Board for the City of Ridgeland, Mississippi.

Mrs. Saltzman served from 2007-2009 as the executive director of the Republican Party of Arkansas. From 2004-2007, she served as a Schedule C Appointee in the administration of President George W. Bush, in the office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor and at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. She began her career in Little Rock, Arkansas, as a Field Director for the Republican National Committee supporting the re-election campaign of President George W. Bush. Mrs. Saltzman was raised in Jackson, Mississippi, and has a degree in Marketing from Mississippi College.
